For window & door, solar, kitchen and bathroom installers
The lead you paid £40 for just rang out
Maeby answers the calls your marketing already paid for, at any hour, qualifies the caller on ownership, timescale and budget, and books the survey into your diary before they ring the next installer.

Where the phone costs you money
You pay for leads, then miss their calls
Lead platforms charge £30–80 whether the enquiry reaches you or your voicemail. The call comes while the fitters are on site and the salesperson is mid-appointment, and the buyer doesn't wait.
- A bought lead costs the same answered or missed
- Buyers shortlist whoever answers first and take quotes from that list
- Evening enquiries sit until morning while the caller keeps ringing round
Enquiries arrive when the showroom is shut
People plan kitchens, windows and solar in the evening and at the weekend. The £10k enquiry lands at 8pm on a Sunday, and it goes to whichever installer answers.
- Jobs worth £3k–15k decided by who picked up
- A showroom line ringing out sends the caller to the next result
- Quote-shoppers book surveys with the firms that answered
Details arrive half-captured
A useful survey visit needs the address, the property, what the customer wants and when. Scribbled callback notes lose half of it, and the surveyor turns up to find out the rest.
- Surveyors arrive without the basics
- Whoever answers asks their own version of the questions
- Follow-up rests on somebody's memory
What your agent handles
Tools are switched on per agent and configured with your details — no bespoke development.
Answers at any hour
Evenings, weekends, and the hours the whole team is out on installs.
Qualifies the enquiry
Owner-occupier or tenant, property type, what they want done, timescale and budget bracket, taken down on every call.
Books the survey
Offers times from the connected diary and gets the survey confirmed there and then.
Quotes only what you've published
Prices and ranges you've given it, nothing else. Anything that needs measuring is booked as a survey rather than guessed at.
Captures the job
Address, access, current setup and what the caller wants, written up as a structured record.
Writes back to your CRM
Caller matched by phone number, with the qualification answers and the outcome logged.
The economics are unusually easy to check
Most industries have to estimate what a missed call costs. You don’t, because you buy leads at a known price and you know your lead-to-survey and survey-to-order rates. Count the enquiries that ring out or wait overnight in a month, multiply through, and you have the number. The evidence on how fast enquiries go cold is written up in what a missed call costs; for firms buying leads, the short version is that the money is already spent either way.
What qualification buys you
An answered call that produces “Dave, wants windows, ring him back” hasn’t moved the job forward. Every enquiry turns on the same handful of questions: owner-occupier or tenant, what property, what work, what timescale, roughly what budget. Ask them consistently and you know which surveys to book first and which callers to let go. Maeby asks them on every call and writes the answers into a record your salesperson can act on, so the follow-up list arrives sorted.
What it quotes and what it books
Maeby quotes what you’ve published and books what needs measuring. A caller asking “roughly what does a ten-window job cost” gets your from-price if you’ve set one, and a survey booking if you haven’t. It never invents a figure. Quote an unmeasured job over the phone and you end up rowing back from it in the customer’s kitchen.
One thing we don’t do yet
Some installers want web-form leads rung back within a minute of landing. That’s an outbound call, and maeby doesn’t make outbound calls today; it answers the phone. We’d rather say so now than have you find out after signing up. If your lead flow is mostly calls, you’re covered now; if it’s mostly forms, tell us, because demand sets our roadmap.
What it means for your data
Enquiry calls carry names, addresses and budgets. Everything is processed and stored in the EU (Ireland), audio is never recorded, and transcripts, caller numbers and messages are deleted automatically after 90 days. What stays on file is the qualified enquiry itself.
Compliance
Built for GDPR,not retrofitted to them.
The constraints that make voice AI awkward in regulated markets were designed in from the start.
- Processed and stored in Europe
- Calls, transcripts, and summaries stay in Europe. AI models are also based there and have zero data retention policies.
- Audio is never stored
- Speech is transcribed as the call happens and discarded.
- Everything a caller said expires
- Transcripts, caller numbers, and messages are deleted automatically 90 days after the call. Not a setting you have to remember.
- Erase customer data
- If a caller asks to be forgotten, you can erase every trace of them from the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Can it ring my leads back?
Not yet. Maeby answers inbound calls; it doesn't make outbound calls to new leads. Where your leads ring you, which on most platforms they do, it answers every one.
Will it quote a price for a fitted job?
Only figures you've given it: fixed prices, from-prices, or ranges. A job that needs measuring gets a survey booking, not a number invented to keep the caller happy. The platform blocks guessing outright.
Will callers know it's an AI?
That's yours to decide, and our advice is to say so. You write the greeting, it's spoken exactly as written, and the default one says it's an AI.
Does it handle existing customers as well as new enquiries?
Yes. Fitting dates, snags and service calls are captured and routed by rules you set; new enquiries are qualified and booked. Both end up in the dashboard and your CRM.
How long does setup take?
Most firms are testing an agent in the browser the same afternoon. Going live on a real number takes longer only if you need a new UK geographic number, which requires a verified business address first.
Is enquiry data handled compliantly?
Call data is processed and stored in the EU (Ireland), call audio is never recorded, and transcripts, caller numbers and messages are deleted automatically 90 days after the call. You remain the data controller; we act as processor.
